Paypal and Stripe troubleshooting
On this page, we'll go over some of the most common issues users have when setting up payment methods and explain how to fix them.
Paypal: Why are my payments PENDING or ON HOLD and the order is not delivered?
This happens when you have a young Paypal account or you have been receiving regular payments for a short time. Or after a period of inactivity.
Log in to your Paypal account and provide all the information requested to verify your account.
For Paypal to work properly, please verify your bank account. If you have a Paypal Business account, Paypal may ask you for your business registration, a tax number etc...
Sometimes you also have to manually accept payments for a certain amount of time when your account is young.
First transactions may be ON HOLD by Paypal for 21 days.
To avoid making your players wait, check the Force delivery boxes in MY GATEWAY
Paypal: Why does Paypal give me an error when I try to pay?
If you try to pay by entering the same email address that you use on your Paypal seller account then Paypal will make an error because you cannot pay yourself.
To perform a live payment test, simply specify another email address and pay as a guest by entering your credit card numbers.
Paypal: Why the payments I receive on Paypal do not appear on Tip4serv?
Here are two possible reasons for the issue you might be encountering:
1) Bank Transfer Payments: Sometimes, buyers make payments via bank transfer. Check the payment status directly on your PayPal account. If it is marked as PENDING, it is likely that the buyer used a bank transfer. In this case, the payment may take several days to appear on your Tip4Serv account.
2) PayPal Configuration (ignore this if you use Paypal V2 Business): If you're using PayPal V1 and payments are being received in your PayPal account but are not showing up in your Tip4Serv dashboard, this means the system is unable to process the payment. As a result, your players will not receive their products. You have certainly changed the IPN address in your Paypal account:

Paypal V2: Why do I get a Paypal error message in my checkout?
If you get these errors:
The Paypal account associated with this store is restricted or the API keys are invalid.
We're sorry, but we weren't able to add this card. Try again later or add a different card.
Check that your application accepts debit card payments:

Advanced Credit and Debit Card Payments must be checked otherwise contact Paypal:
Also check if you need to provide information to Paypal such as verifying your bank account.
PayPal V2: Why aren't iDEAL or other payment methods appearing?
Some alternative payment methods (such as iDEAL) need to be manually activated in your PayPal business account.
To enable them, please visit the following page while logged into your PayPal Business account: https://www.paypal.com/businessmanage/account/payments
Once activated, these options should appear automatically during checkout when supported.
Paypal / Stripe: Why is the payment form not showing in the checkout?
You certainly haven't completed the registration process on Stripe or Paypal.
These accounts sometimes need to be verified, log in to your Paypal or Stripe account and provide all the elements requested to become a verified user.
These documents can be an identity card or proof of address.
The payment form should appear once these elements have been validated by the company.
Stripe: How do I change my Stripe account?
You cannot have multiple Stripe accounts connected to Tip4Serv. If you want to switch Stripe account for any reason follow these steps:
Disable Stripe in MY GATEWAY
Delete your Stripe account by following these steps
Activate Stripe in MY GATEWAY and fill in your new account information
Where is my money and how can i withdraw it?
When you receive payments, the money is sent directly to the PayPal or Stripe account you connected in MY GATEWAY.
We do not hold or store your funds on our platform.
To access your money, simply log in to your PayPal and/or Stripe account using the email address you provided.
From there:
With PayPal, you can manually request a bank transfer to your personal account.
With Stripe, payouts are processed automatically every week to the bank account you provided during the Stripe Connect sign-up process.
